Training & Exercising Dogs in Kitchener-Waterloo

If you are one of those lucky people that has just welcomed a new member into the family, this one’s for you! We have published many blogs regarding puppy training and nutrition, but one question has still remained unanswered: Where can you go for dog training in this area?

This is a great question! If you are just getting your first dog or puppy, it is essential that you seek some guidance in how to raise him/her to grow up and be a good member of dog society. We have definitely seen some great successes in going to puppy classes or dog training in general. Puppies can be difficult, and more so if you are adopting an older rescue. There is no shame is seeking the help of others in how to welcome these new members into your loving world.

Every dog is different, and they grow up with different behaviours. Some puppies pass their first level of training with flying colours, but can still grow up to have bad habits. It is important to remember that this is NOT THEIR FAULT. It can be easy to get frustrated with dogs that aren’t behaving as they should, but it is important to remember that their behaviours are a reflection of their environment. Good or bad. If your dog is starting to show behaviours that you may not know how to solve, please don’t just throw in the towel and believe that they will grow out of it, because most of the time they won’t. They simply need to be shown a better way. THAT is why is it important to seek out a professional to find out how to HELP your dog, rather than assume things will get better. There is no shame in seeking out the help of those who are trained to do so. A quick google search can steer you in the right direction to find dog trainers in the KW region.

If you’re dog is having trouble behaving in your home, you can also try lots of exercise as a way to help them focus. When the pups are going crazy and tearing around the house, a simple walk can help them to refocus and get back on track with their training, or sleeping. 🙂

Remember, if you need help with your busy schedules, we are here for you! Sometimes even with the dog going crazy in the house, you don’t have the extra time to exercise them. This is our specialty, and we are happy to help when you need!

You can contact us at info@doggonewalking.ca for these walks, or you can search a trainer in the are to help with your doggy needs. We all need help from time to time, and we would love to help you put your pet first.
