Dog Gone Walking is proud to be partnering with Taffy’s Legacy, a local dog rescue, to match adoptable dogs with their perfect human. Over the years, we have seen the love and joy that rescues can bring to everyone around them, and we firmly believe that all dogs deserve a home to call their own. We hope that this partnership with Taffy’s Legacy will bring us one step closer to finding every dog their furever family.

This month, we want to introduce you to Beaufort a 2yo Rottweiler X. Beau is a BIG boy who is looking for a forever home that won’t play into his teddy bear features!

Beau is a big boy looking for an experienced dog owner who is willing to do a lot of training with him to keep him on his best behaviour. He has some great training foundations since coming into care, but he will need to continue his training to build confidence and settle in his furever home. Beau is anxious in new environments and slow to build trust, so he is looking for a patient and consistent person who is willing to advocate for him.
Beau is a smart boy and enjoys working for his food. He will do absolutely anything for his toys. Fetch is his favorite game! While Beau is a big and powerful dog, it doesn’t take much to tire this big boy out. A 40 minute walk or a few rounds of fetch will have him panting and looking for a spot to rest. Beau does guard food and resources, so he would do best in a home without children.
