To Our Valued Clients,
This morning, Ontario enacted a Declaration of Emergency, significantly enhancing measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. In response, many businesses that hadn’t already severely reduced their hours, or hadn’t already closed down altogether, have now done so. In addition, many public spaces are now legally required to close, until further notice.
We would like to let you know that Dog Gone Walking will continue to be open for business, as professional caretakers for your pets. The nature of our work means that we are primarily working with animals or conducting property checks; nonetheless, we will be taking every precaution available to further minimize the risk of spreading the virus. Hand washing and/or sanitizing will be practiced by all of our employees upon arrival and departure at your home, and employees exhibiting signs of illness will be asked to stay home.
We will also be providing additional services to aid those who are elderly, self-quarantined, or otherwise practicing social distancing. This will include:
- Pet supply pick ups from local pet stores (now expanded to include household items until further notice)
- Pet taxi services to and from grooming and veterinary appointments (already offered year-round)
We will be servicing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas; mileage fees may apply.
To further provide you with the best possible care for your pets, we have partnered with Creature Comfort Pet Emporium at St. Jacob’s to deliver pet food and pet supplies to your home. Creature Comfort will remain open as a necessary service for pet owners under the grocery store category, and have increased their inventory order to ensure adequate supplies. Visit their website to see a complete list of their offerings.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us via email at info@doggonewalking.ca, or call us at 519-884-9255. We will continue to monitor the situation under the guidance of Health Canada and other official channels of information.
