At Dog Gone Walking, we form amazing bonds with our clients, over years of visiting and getting to know all their quirks and unique personalities. We’re trying something new and choosing to spotlight a specific client each month, with the help of their usual walker, to show off some of the incredible pets we spend time with!
April’s client of the month is our handsome friend, Juno!
Juno is a vivacious 4 year old South African Mastiff (also known as a Boerboel) we have watched grow from a squishy little (well, he was never really THAT little…) pup into a fine young man, ever since he was brought here by his mom and dad alllllllll the way from his breeder in Missouri, USA in 2011. That’s right, he’s a pretty handsome import if we do say so ourselves!
What is there to love about visits with Juno? One of Juno’s longtime walkers, Sade, describes her favourite “Juno-ism”:
One of the things about Juno that always makes my day, is his “happy dance” he does each time I come over to visit him! It’s more like a full body wiggle, starting at the bum and shaking all the way to the tip of his nose- it’s made even more adorable by his stuffed animal he brings to me as a welcome gift! I love fussing over him when I arrive, which just encourages that bum wiggle even more!
Juno is always styling, too! Whether it’s spring, summer, fall or winter…we can count on Juno to be rocking a festive bandana- that’s just how he rolls!
We get A LOT of comments while walking Juno (yes, we’ve heard the joke about buying a saddle for him thank you very much…) and some people we run into are intimidated by this plus sized boy. But believe us, he has a plus sized heart too! His goofy, playful, mischievous personality is matched by his loving, gentle nature and eagerness to be a good boy- he wouldn’t hurt a fly!
When he isn’t stopping to making snow angels for his neighbours, trying to dig alllllll the way to China in the nearby playground, or rolling around in the lush green grass during summertime- Juno just loves being out with his DGW girls and meeting fellow pups, big and small! Thanks for being our client, buddy!
